Three recruits arrive at the Megakat Bureau of Investigation, a newly established law enforcement agency in Megakat City. Director Mark Sulfur and Captain Jason Korat get to know the new recruits and vise versa as they explain the MBI’s purpose.
Another kat arrives in Megakat City with hopes and dreams of a new life for herself there.
Chance and Jake, the two SWAT Kats, work in the hangar as Jake explains a new addition to the Turbokat he’s working on for future use. Chance has his doubts, and is glad it will take awhile for this new addition to the Turbokat to be finished.
The RPG Reset has begun and new adventures begin.
Read Log New recruits show up for their first official day as agents of the MBI. Captain Jason Korat and Lt. Katrina Korat give a demonstration and begin training said new recruits. Commander Feral shows up during the session and speaks privately with Captain Korat concerning mysterious circumstances with the MBI’s recently approved status.
Read Log The MBI gets its first case by accident. Agents are sent to Puma-Dyne to investigate a break in at their R&D department in which nothing appeared to be stolen. Agents Joseph Forge and Alexandria Manx are sent in on this one, but before they can begin to fully look around, Commander Feral and his Enforcers arrive on the scene to do their own investigation and try to push the two MBI agents aside. However, Forge and Manx find something strange within the R&D while the Enforcers are elsewhere.
Meanwhile Elizabeth Selkirk, apparent runaway, has made her way to the MBI’s building in hopes of using their bathroom to freshen up as she’s been staying on the streets (or the parks rather) since her arrival in Megakat. Captain Korat lets her inside and has another of the new recruits Fletch Ryder show her to the restrooms and gets her a bite to eat.
Chance and Jake continue to discuss the new proposed AI system for the Turbokat.
Read Log The agents meet and greet and learn more about one another while discussing their feelings on the MBI compared with the Enforcers. An explosion at Megakat Biochemical leads Enforcers to the scene and the MBI agents also rush out to see if they can lend a hand.
Read Log The Megs arrive at the scene of the fire at Megakat Biochemical and assess the scene. Blaze is slowly spreading and the firekats are having problems putting the blaze out. SWAT Kats arrive however and put the fire out with a foam bomb. They then enter the building soon to check for survivors. Feral, after telling Jase to stay out of it, runs into the building as well with some men as apparently Dr. Viper was in there. Jase ignores Feral’s order and with Tasha and Lex, also enters Megakat Biochem.
The inside is overrun with strange and nasty plant creatures, which when the Megs go through, have been taken out. Jase seperates from Tasha and Lex, and the two female Megs end up coming across the SWAT Kats. All four enter a room where they find Feral’s discarded baton. Investigating leads the four up an elevator shaft and to an auditorium room where Viper moves in to kill off Feral. The group burst into the room and Viper escapes with the SWAT Kats fast on his heels. Tasha and Lex help free the many Enforcers that were gooped up in plant traps while the SWAT Kats fight with Viper onna roof. The Enforcers manage to take Viper down off the roof and arrest his unconscious self. The SWAT Kats see that the cord they used burns up a little where it has Viper before leaving the scene.
Read Log Mayor Manx takes Lex down to the MBI to speak with Director Mark Sulfur. He’s angry that the MBI got involved in the deal with Dr. Viper at Megakat Biochemical and that his daughter was involved in something so dangerous. He tells Mark that he didn’t think the MBI was meant for such investigations and that Lex is resigning from the MBI. Mark asks if that’s what Lex wants to do, and while she truly doesn’t, she doesn’t want Manx to worry about her so much and decides she’ll go back to law school to later get involved in politics and help the city that way. Manx and Lex then leave and get into the limo. It doesn’t start which is good as a giant wheel from an airplane crashes before them in the street. Lex informs Mark who is in breakroom talking to Joe about the wheel. Mark calls it in to the FAA who say everything is fine, that was just a freak accident. Lex leaves after Manx did. A kat approaches Joe and Mark and asks for an application. Name is Hans Lynx and Mark has Joe take him inside to fill out a form and all.
Meanwhile, Jake and Chance are in the hangar finishing up cleaning plant gunk from the previous day. They discuss the Viper incident when something from inside the Turbokat bites Chance. They both poke at it and it leaps outta the jet. As they chase it, the klaxon goes off. Thinking it’s Callie in danger as only static is heard, Jake and Chance suit up and head out to where the signal is. The SWAT Kats are led to the Museum of Natural History and find where the signal is. No Callie, but they find a holographic image of an A/C unit projected from a bottlecap sized device like that vial was from Puma-Dyne days before. A duffel bag is found with an old dusty communicator almost exactly like Callie’s and a couple of strange containers from Puma-Dyne and from Megakat Biochemical. The SWAT Kats then see Callie below and get ready to go down to speak with her.
Read Log The SWAT Kats meet Callie down below in front of the Museum where they ask her why she called. She replies that she didn’t call and looks at them confused. They ask to see her communicator and she shows it to them, thus the one in the duffel is not hers. Callie also informs them some strange occurances have happened concerning the MBI being approved. The SWAT Kats soon leave and take duffel with them. Razor thinks someone’s just gotten on their frequency and they’ll need to change it. Both agree they’ll look into the MBI approval mystery.
Josie and Tasha are in the breakroom and discuss what happened at Megakat Biochemical. Jase enters and they get a strange call then another from Felina who wants some help in the Megakat Biochem case. Jase, Tasha and Josie all go down there where Felina gives them a rundown of the crime scene. Seems Viper wasn’t the one who set the fire, but someone else using gas in the vents to cause it to spread so quickly. Jase spots a camera and notes it’s hardly damaged despite everything else being burnt. They get it down and begin to examine it.
Read Log Halloween at the MBI
The agents are minding their own buisness this night they are. Trina has bought some pizza and drinks for all the agents which all eat happily. A sound from the basement has Trina thinking the boiler’s about to go so she goes to check it and is katnapped by some eeeevil shadows. Fletch and Josie end up there and go after her to find that the basement’s been transformed into a jungle type area complete with volcano. Stormcrow happened to be outside and entered the MBI searching for a good party to nick some goodies from but instead finds herself in the strange basement. Fletch is caught in some vines and a quicksand pit, Josie and Stormcrow pull him out. Stormcrow’s revealed to not be an agent, but they must press on regardless to save Trina!
Trina had been taken to the Racoon’s Tin Can Temple of Doom where the lil’ critter professed his undying love for Trina and demands that she marry him. Confused and annoyed, Trina refuses but Joe and Tasha are shown to her tied up and the other agents battling it out to get to ‘er. Trina makes an excuse saying she’s betrothed to another, Lt. Steele at the Enforcers, and if the coon makes his life miserable, she’d consider it. So the Racoon lets them all go and calls back his troops to soon move out of the MBI’s basement. Trina and the other Megs along with Stormcrow hurry out of the basement as quick as they can before something else bizzare happens to them on this Halloween night.
Read Log Day after the Halloween incident, Joe goes to Trina’s office to give her a bunch of roses that were delivered at the MBI’s door. Apparently the racoon sent them as a token of his love for Trina and to let her know he was on his way to annoying Steele. The two talked a bit until Josie came by to hand in her report on Halloween’s basement adventure. Joe left and after Trina and Josie talked a bit concerning the whole ordeal, Josie left too. Trina went to find Joe who asked her if she’d like to go out with him for lunch. Trina agreed and the two discussed things to get to know one another and had a nice lunch. Josie went and talked with Leo about the basement adventure and had him go with her to check it out. The basement had reverted back to normal however, so Leo was spared the nightmare.
Read Log Josie pokes her head into the gym as she gets to work and finds Tasha doing her morning run. The pair talk a bit and Josie takes Tasha to see the jogging path at Manx Municipal Park which is better than jogging in the gym. While there they hear Stormcrow yell. Stormcrow had been sleeping in the shed there and when she awoke, a mysterious individual had slapped some sort of talisman on her forehead, which disolved, leaving her momentarily blinded. When she regained her sight, the individual had vanished. Josie and Tasha come to check on her, but she gets nervous after they start figuring out she’s a runaway. Stormcrow fools them into looking away enough that she can run for it. Josie and Stormcrow then head for the HQ to report her as a runaway.
The mysterious individual makes another appearance though as he runs across the bike path and nearly causes Fletch to take a spill. Fletch tries to see who it was but after he can’t find the individual, he goes on to continue his ride.
Stormcrow’s troubles aren’t over though as she witnesses a giant tear in air open up and a hideous creature emerge. Described as kat-like only very big, hunched over, and electrical with blue eyes, the creature comes after Stormcrow. It shifts a hand to look like a blade and tries to stab her, only to miss and stab a tree which disappears entirely. It makes a grab for the now very scared Stormcrow but when it touches her, its hand disappears. Every time it tries to touch her it disappears more until it finally goes away alltogether. Fletch had heard her screams and ran to her aid, getting there just after the creature has vanished. After hearing her story, he carries Stormcrow to the HQ to question her.
Josie and Tasha meanwhile had gotten to HQ and eavesdropped on a conversation that Mark and Jason were having. Apparently Steele had been causing problems now on top of Feral and Manx. Mark was worried about being too soft on the recruits. After making a comment about Steele, and Tasha let out a snort at it, they two were found. They made a run for it but triped over one another to fall in a big heap outside the door whenever Jason opened it. Mark asks them into his office and asks how they think he’s doing as director. They express very different opinions as Tasha enjoys the relaxed atmospehere where Josie wishes it was more strict. They discuss it when Fletch interupts them to tell them of Stormcrow. They all go to talk to her. They don’t believe her story really, and discuss whether or not they should believe her.
Jason gets a package from the people who looked over the video camera from Megakat Biochemical. After watching it, he spots one frame of a mysterious guy that seems to come from nowhere. He looks it over and makes hard copies to look at as well. Just as he’s looking it over, the same creature from Stormcrow’s story appears and attacks Jason. After stabbing a wall and making it disappear, water rushes all around it. It avoids the water, and continues its attack on Jason. Finally Jason passes out but the other agents heard his cries for help, and they run to see about him. Just as they get there though, the creature gets in some water and shorts out. They believe Stormcrow now though. Just as Fletch is about to take Jason to the infirmary, he notes the individual in the pictures and on the TV screen. He says he thinks its the same person that ran across the bike path earlier and they take the pictures to Stormcrow for her to see.
Read Log Tasha shows Stormcrow the pictures of that individual from the camera footage. Stormcrow recognizes him and tells them about the guy who slapped that thing on her forehead shortly before the creature showed. Josie enters the room and she and Tasha get Stormcrow to admit she’s a runaway. Stormcrow insists it’s just for a short time and Tasha and Josie offer her help. All Stormcrow wants is a place of employment for a few months. They don’t get the chance to aid her in that, as a news report is heard (by a loud TV thanks to Hertz’ clumsyness) that there’s another break-in at Puma-Dyne. Josie and Tasha along with Fletch report to the scene where they find the place a mess but nothing taken, as if whatever the creature (who was reported to have been there) was looking for was already gone. The three head back to MBI HQ after a fruitless search.
The SWAT Kats are working in the hangar and they too see the news report. Information pops up soon after concerning the poisoning of one of the City Hall kats from a doctor’s report. It says that it’s an “unknown toxin, when examined tests suggested potential synthetic origin, but the samples dissipated about the same time that the council member recovered”. The two SWAT Kats head off to Megakat Memorial Hospital to find the hard copy of the record. They go as Jake and Chance, disquised though to blend in the hospital and not be noticed much. They find the records room but also the file burned to ash just moments before. A kat escapes via vent and the two go after him. Confronting the guy, they try to get him to talk but instead this mysterious kat uses a glov-a-trix to make his escape. Losing him, Jake and Chance leave the hospital.
Read Log Hans Lynx returns to the MBI where he’s interviewed by Mark. Mark welcomes him aboard and has an eavesdropping Tasha (yes again! shamey Tasha! ;D) show Hans around and get him his uniform and all. The two then go to the breakroom where they and Fletch talk with Stormcrow about job possibilities. Fletch is less than thrilled with Stormcrow because of her lying to them and all. Stormcrow takes everyone’s advice in though and will begin job hunting.
As soon as Hans had left Mark’s office, the same Someone who Jake and Chance ran into deposits a thick file folder on Mark’s desk for him. Jumping out the window and escaping before Mark could talk much with him, the Someone vanishes again. Mark looks at the folder and it seems to be lots of information on many criminals in Megakat City, from low life thugs trying to make names for themselves to super villains like the Metallikats. Not sure if he should trust this, Mark contacts Commander Feral for his opinion. The Commander grudingly comes to talk with Mark and isn’t sure what to make of the information. He leaves telling Mark to handle this case to proove the MBI is worth while as this file’s arrival is possibly connected to the hospital records destruction and the incident at Puma-Dyne and Megakat Biochem.
Read Log Ann Gora arrives with camerakat Johnny K. to do a story on the MBI since it’s been appearing every so often in reports as of late. Seems Ann knew Jase from college at Megakat University and the two are old friends. She wants to make the Bureau look good for him, as well as get a scoop. Jason shows Ann around the place and introduces her to a few agents.
Meanwhile in the breakroom, Tasha, Fletch and Hans speak with Stormcrow again to see how her job hunting is going. It isn’t going so well yet, and she asks if maybe she could work in that janitorial position Fletch mentioned was opened awhile back. Tasha says she’s not sure if they can let her do that, and tells her to go speak with either the Director or Captain when either is available.
Read Log Jason finished giving Ann a tour of the MBI. Ann interviewed him for some information about the organization. After the interview, Johnny goes out to the newsvan while Ann and Jase make lunch plans. That mysterious Someone knocks Johnny out and puts him in the back of the van then gets in the driver’s seat. Ann says bye to Jase and realizes too late after getting into the van that the Someone is not Johnny. Jase doesn’t see this and goes inside. The Someone peels out of there.
Stormcrow goes to talk to Jase after Ann leaves about a job at the MBI. Jase offers her a position as receptionist which she takes. He gives her a desk and sets up the phone and all to get her started. Then Jase asks if she, and Fletch who was also in the room there in the offices, would like lunch. Orders are placed and Jase goes off to Subway to fetch their food. Fletch tells Stormcrow that he or any other agent can answer questions, and the two discuss Hertz a little as the poor fellow came by after having a bad experience dealing with a stapler. Fletch also warns her to not discuss any cases she may overhear as he’s not fully trusting her yet. Jase then returns with the sandwiches and they all have lunch.
Meanwhile, the Someone takes Ann to the desert (at unbelievable speeds) where he takes out her camera and tells her to report. Ann doesn’t know what to report about until a meteor crashes nearby. She then does what the Someone says to and describes the event. Getting close to the meteor, it turns out to be some sort of metallic object. The object sends out a deadly laser blast up into the sky for a few moments then stops and turns into ash just like the holographic image devices that’ve been found earlier by the MBI and SKs. Ann demands answers to which the Someone doesn’t give and is taken back to the MBI. She yanks the hood off of the Someone revealing no head at all! The Someone leaves quickly replacing his hood. Ann goes inside and informs Jase of this with a now conscious Johnny as well as Fletch and Stormcrow.
Read Log What started out as a slow day turned into anything but. Several kats from the NSA lead by a Jack Spinner barged into the MBI saying they had a warrent out for confiscating certian information. Trina and Fletch tried to get them to halt and Mark himself later attempted to as well but with no results. The NSA guys took off with that videotape of Ann’s among other things and left.
Soon after, a fax with this Someone’s picture as well as what info is known about him (not much) arrives at the MBI. Stormcrow takes it to the others and during this a call comes in on someone robbing one of the banks in Megakat City. Mark sends Fletch, and Stormcrow as he’s low on agents, to investigate the scene. Hans appears for work just in time to go with the two.
Fletch drives Hans and Stormcrow to said bank where Chop Shop and two cronies exit bank. After confronting them and exchanging a bit of fire (literally in Stormcrow’s case ;D), Chop Shop leaves his cronies behind and drives off inna suped up car. They arrest onna the cronies and speed to where he’s going. In a warehouse, Chop Shop puts the money bags in onna his trademark choppers and just as he’s about to leave, Fletch and Hans confront him while Stormcrow stays with the cronie at the car. After a bit of a battle they are able to capture Chop Shop and bring down his chopper, barely escaping the warehouse before it lands on ‘em. Fletch dumps Chop Shop in his trunk with help and all three contact Enforcers and lock the baddie and his cronie up when they get back to the MBI.
Read Log Jase calls up Ann to tell her about the NSA guys to which Ann says she already knows as they went to her work and home to confiscate some things too. Annoyed she hopes Jase can get that tape back as she’s worried about what this all means. Jase informs her about the mysterious Someone and later asks Ann to dinner when she gets off work for the day. Ann accepts and the two hang up.
Stormcrow goes to type in the reports into the MBI database from the Chop Shop incident but when she saves a file, the computer says it already exists. Confused she searches and indeed it and all the other files are already in the computer, but from a week earlier and under Trina and Hertz’ account names. Stormcrow goes to Jase’s office where he too finds this out and calls Trina. Trina is as confused as they are as she didn’t write these up. Stormcrow leaves and Jase notes that all the files in the database had come out of the large file which that Someone gave to Mark.
No sooner than Stormcrow had gone to her desk did a she-kat arrive at the MBI. Calling out for someone, Stormcrow goes to see who it is. Professor Jenna Clawson from Puma-Dyne rudely tells Stormcrow she wants to see the director concerning the antimatter case. Stormcrow takes her to Jase instead as Mark isn’t in. Jenna complains to Jase that the MBI and Enforcers are moving to slow on the case and gives him information that was requested on the antimatter itself though Jase asks her a few questions about it, thinking perhaps that is what that creature is made out of. He tells Jenna they’re working on it, and her information has connected something together in the case, they only need to catch that Someone. Jenna flirts then with Jase giving him her number before leaving, but still isnt’ happy.
Josie and Tasha have a bit of a talk together to learn more about one another. Josie mentions she’d like to go out dancing at a club or something with any and all interested agents who are off and Tasha says she’d be one of them to go. Tasha heads back to her desk and tells Joe then later Hans and Stormcrow about the idea. Joe says he’ll go as does Hans, but Stormcrow is reluctant at first until Hans and Tasha convince her. They also tell her not to be so nervous around them, that she can tell them anything on why she’s there and all. She says she knows but doesn’t divulge any other bit of info about herself. Tasha goes back to reading a case file but Hans notes she’s got a magazine in there really and with Joe exposes her for a bit of teasing.
Speaking of this Someone, he decides to pay Dark Kat a visit. Using a code he knows to get into a secret underground lair of Dark Kat’s, he makes his way into it and to Dark Kat himself who’s ready for him. Dark Kat demands to know who this guy is and what he wants, to which the Someone replies he’s no one and he’s there to kill Dark Kat. A small gunfight breaks out and creeplings aid Dark Kat in attacking the Someone. Dark Kat is able to take him down for a brief moment to discover the Someone using some sort of invisible shielding device. The Someone does get away however, leaving behind an angry Dark Kat.
Read Log Things start out both evililly and slow this day. Dark Kat is in his lair repairing the damage Someone has created to his lair. He calls forth Sypher to see what he’s learned from his observations in the real world. Sypher has nothing much to report, so Dark Kat sends him on another mission, to infiltrate the Enforcer’s database to gather information, as well as any other information he might find from other law enforcement agencies. Sypher goes to Enforcer HQ and gathers info, finding that the case involving Someone was transfered to the MBI. He finds the address and goes there to gather information on the case. The computers freeze though as they are the old models that just can’t handle his download speeds.
Things are slow at the MBI as Agent Lynx works a crossword puzzle, Stormcrow stares at the phone, and Agent Joe Forge reads a book. Ryder signs in to work and heads to the locker room to change. As he emerges, Agent Tasha Forge comes from the lockers as well after her morning run. Agent Lynx decides to go see about his schedule and see if he can go out that weekend. They all meet in the hallway and after a few words, they go their seperate ways.
Meanwhile, Captain Korat comes in to work to find an email inbox flooded with messages about the overloaded server in the computer room. He goes to investigate and finds a puzzled Agent Lynx there. Agent Lynx tells him it was like that when he got there. They reboot and to their amazement, they find all sorts of information they can’t explain how got there. Things such as Dr. Vipers address. As they work with it some more, they decide to leave it alone till they can figure out whats going on. During all this, Agent Tasha Forge and Stormcrow join them. Stormcrow asks Jason if she can move her phone to another desk so she may better watch the lobby for visitors. He agrees and then he heads on back to his office for the evening. Stormcrow asks Lynx if he’ll help her move the phone which he agrees, and the three venture back to the desk area to move her phone.
While they work on the phone, it rings and to their surprise its Enforcer dispatch calling about another break in by Someone. Agent Lynx and Agent Forge take action and head out there. They manage to beat the Enforcers there and hurry to find a fleeing Someone. The two pursue him into a dead end, in which he finally stops. Just as Agent Forge goes to cuff him, he pulls out a glovatrix and shoots a buzz saw missle at Agent Lynx, cutting his gun in half. Agent Forge manages to take him into custody and Someone insists she take him to MBI HQ and not let the Enforcers take him. Depsite him needing medical attention, Agent Forge and Agent Lynx load him up and carry him back. There they find an arsenal of weaponry on him, and finally reveal his true face after a nasty scare of his head being missing due to some camoflauging device. He hands Agent Forge a device and instructs her to go to the basement and look for someone, claim “HE” was there. Reluctant, Lynx and Forge venture to the basement where they find no one there, but do find a badge inside. An MBI badge that is dated five years into the future with the name “McGrath” on it. Puzzled, the pair head back upstairs to run the name through the system and see if it turns anything up.
Read Log Tasha and Hans finish up their reports on their arrest of the strange hoodied guy now known as McGrath and drop them off in Jase’s box. The two go to a diner across the street to talk and get to know one another a bit better. Hans flirts with Tasha a little who is somewhat receptive to it but not charmed or anything.
Joe and Trina talk while they work out in the gym where Joe learns about Trina and Jase being in the band known as “Spurr” as Trina mentions a trip they’ll be taking to Japan come December. The two are now on a first name basis as they’ve learned more about the other.
Fletch finds Stormcrow and has her come to the gym with him where he intends to train her on how to fight. He manages to gain her confidence enough for her to show him her fire making abilities as well as her real name. Fletch says that she should really inform the Director about this to which Stormcrow reluctantly agrees. She heads back to her desk where Tasha and Hans greet her in the lobby and inform her about McGrath.
During all of this, Sypher returns to Dark Kat to report on what he learned on the intruder. As he’s being held in the MBI, Dark Kat orders Sypher and another cyberdemon Matrix (who seems to annoy Dark Kat greatly with his personality Dark Kat wishes he didn’t have) to infiltrate the MBI building to learn more. The two cyberdemons leave and Matrix tries to figure Sypher out while Sypher thinks Matrix is malfuctioning highly with his strange behavior. They plan their strategies but Matrix decides to drag Sypher off first on a detour to have some lunch.
Read Log Several agents go out together to a club for a good time and to get to know one another. Fletch, Tasha, Joe, Trina, Stormcrow, Hertz, Josie and Hans are those who made it out. Joe and Trina do some dancing as do Hans and Tasha after a bit of a discussion with Fletch and Josie on partying as teens. All seems to go alright, even Hertz finds himself a dancing partner. However, another one of those weird dark fabric of time ripping creature things shows up again. The club’s evacuated and the being goes after Stormcrow, “stabbing” her (think a ghost or something moving their arm though someone living) through but unlike the furniture and other items the Megs use against it, she does not disappear but is only shocked with fear. After dumping liquids on it, the being vanishes and the Megs head on out to take Stormcrow to HQ.
Read Log Professor Clawson comes to the MBI and gives Stormcrow a letter to give to Jason. It’s pink and has a potent perfume scent to it. Jason gets orders from Mark to interrogate the Someone who’s still being held at the MBI. Tasha comes along with him and they, along with Josie who was guarding him, have one strange conversation. Stormcrow listens at the door as she doesn’t want to interrupt and when the Someone asks for some water, Tasha gets it and tells Stormcrow she might as well come in too.
Someone tells the Megs that he’s called McGrath and that he’s from the future. The strange goings on lately are due to an alien interference, that those creatures they’ve been seeing are aliens. These aliens need some sort of tech from Felinus and are looking to take over. McGrath has been trying to help the MBI by giving Mark that big ol’ stack of papers with information on all the major criminals and then some. Everyone finds this whole thing a bit hard to swallow, but McGrath does seem to know an awful lot about them so for now they’re giving him the benifit of the doubt until they can figure things out. Jase ends the interrogation and he with Stormcrow and Tasha leave.
Josie stays behind to guard McGrath and he starts going on about some she-kat he knows who really isn’t a kat that helped him get here though he doesn’t know how exactly. Suddenly McGrath vanishes right before Josie’s eyes, leaving behind another one of those holographic devices. He himself now cleaned up exits the MBI without a problem. Josie gets Tasha in there to help check and indeed McGrath is gone. Stormcrow gives Jase that letter from Clawson and Jase reads it in his office. The letter simply says that Jenna wants to hear from Jase on the antimatter or just to hear from him and gives him every means of contacting her to him.
Tasha and Josie talk some and wonder one of the things McGrath said was agents keeping secrets, mainly Stormcrow. So the two go to check up on her and find out what he meant. She ends up finally giving in to them and shows the two her fire abilities to which both are amazed at and Josie’s a bit nervous with. Stormcrow explains a bit that she just got these powers and is being trained to use them so she won’t be making any accidents with them.
Read Log Trina gets an invite to lunch and, thinking it’s the racoon asking, reluctantly goes. It turns out that Joe was the one who sent the invite which Trina is relieved. So Joe treats Trina to lunch and it seems the two have a slight attraction to one another.
Hans hears of McGrath’s escape and is not pleased. Tasha grows annoyed at him as she feels there was nothing that could be done, even if Hans was there, so he shouldn’t act like it was their fault. Hans apologizes after looking the cell over and Tasha accepts. She gives him a pass and invites him to the track for the next Saturday she’s to race so he can come down to the pit area to see her. He says he’ll be there.
Sypher wakes up slightly damp and confused as to where he is. Matrix just informs him that Sypher was in contact with water while in acoherent form and scattered some. Sypher’s annoyed at this and gets his systems completely in order then demands he and Matrix finish their mission after sending reports to Dark Kat. They go to the MBI where Matrix zaps into the power lines and Sypher asks Stormcrow who he needs to speak to in order to get a job there. He introduces himself as Silas Greypaw and Stormcrow takes him back to the offices where she gives him an application to fill out.
Fletch arrived to work all tired and out of it looking as he was out too late celebrating a victory for the Megakat University football team. Hans and Tasha tease him some as they’re glad to hear he’s not the stick in the mud they thought him to be. Sypher finishes his application as he listens to their conversation and Stormcrow takes it to Mark’s office for approval and all. He leaves after saying bye to the others and collects Matrix who he hopes found out better information than he did.
Read Log Stormcrow finally goes to tell Mark about her powers. He is accepting of them and wants her to be trained with them. Dark Kat summons Matrix to try and get a decent report out of him which fails. After noting strange functions Matrix is performing, he has the cyberdemon go into his master computer where he plans to reformat him.
Read Log Fletch and Hans are at their desks going over casework. Fletch asks Hans a bit of the missing McGrath incident and the two discuss the matter. They decide to go view the security tape that’s in holding and seek out the captain. Jase is in the breakroom having brought food and tosses Fletch ‘n Hans a can of milk each. They ask about the tape and the three of them then discuss McGrath.
The mention of the criminal files sends Jase to retrieve them and the three Megs look the files over. They decide they should perhaps investigate one of the criminals in there to see if the information is right and notice that Dark Kat isn’t in there himself. Hans comes up with the theory that perhaps McGrath is working for Dark Kat. The other two have doubts about it and wonder if the future is real McGrath speaks of, how powerful will the MBI exactly be. With enough of this talk, Fletch finally asks if he can get the tape and does so.
The three of them go to the conference room to view it and see how McGrath escaped. McGrath used that cloaking tech to walk past everyone when the cell door was open partially during the time after Tasha handed him his water. He used another hologram device on the cot to make it appear he was still there and then vanished when Josie was alone with him.
Meanwhile in Dark Kat’s lair, Dark Kat attempts to reformat Matrix. However the cyberdemon manages to block the attempt and instead puts that llama llama duck thing on loop on speaker locked. Unable to make it quit, Dark Kat blasts the speakers and summons Sypher. Sypher turns off the program and repairs the speakers. Dark Kat then tells Sypher to contact Matrix, which Sypher already had as he was trying to figure out why Matrix is causing so much trouble. Matrix refuses to appear before Dark Kat and so Dark Kat orders Sypher to capture him and bring him back for not a reformatting, but a deletion. Sypher complies and pursues Matrix.
McGrath himself during this time had gone and stolen Callie’s SWAT Kat communicator from her purse in her office. Taking it and that device he stole from MASA, an antimatter energy engine for interstellar travel, he plants them at the Museum roof again, hiding them with a hologram of an A/C unit like the last time. He uses the communicator to get the SWAT Kats there and Razor and T-Bone indeed come and find the duffel with those things and a note about the device and the answer to what’s keeping it from working. T-Bone and Razor then take those things back with them to the hangar and will call Jase about the MASA item as T-Bone mentioned Jase was talking about it as the MBI are looking for it.
Read Log Mark sent out a memo to all the agents concerning his, Jason and Trina’s absences and that a Commander Forge would be temporarily in command. Josie goes to Jase’s office to question this where she’s told of Jason and Trina’s reason for going. Josie can’t believe the captain and lieutenant are going away for a concert, much less that they’re in a professional band. She voices her concern which Jason assures her that things will be fine and informs her that Commander Forge is Joe and Tasha’s father, commander of the Twilight City Enforcers who’s doing this as a favor. Fletch comes to Jase’s office as well with what he’s found on Fango’s whereabouts which isn’t much compared to the file. Jase sends him, Josie and Hans out for reconnaissance to see if that file was right, but that’s all as they don’t have a warrant.
So the three agents go out to the bad part of town where Fango is said to live via the file’s information. Hans waits in the car while Josie and Fletch go into the apartment building out of uniform to infiltrate. After getting past the desk guy, they learn Fango indeed does live here and go to his apartment. Fango doesn’t appear to be home and Fletch manages to break in through the front door. He and Josie look around the unkempt apartment for any clues they can use to help bust him and Josie finds a time and location written on a piece of paper in one of Fango’s jacket pockets. Fletch has Josie phone in an anonymous tip to the MBI where Hertz manages to write it down. Fletch fixes the lock as best he can but Fango comes back. Hans stalls him at the stairs and after shoving Josie out of the apartment, Fletch locks it and goes out the window. The three find each other and make a getaway in Fletch’s car, heading back to the MBI. Hans goes to shower up and head out while Josie and Fletch have a conversation, one which ends not so nicely before they seperate.
Meanwhile, McGrath takes time for a break at an old abandoned building. He produces a sort of PDA device and after fixing it, sets it down where an image of all beings Protocol appears. However this isn’t the Protocol of now for she is still in Dark Kat’s service as a cyberdemon. This is a Protocol who, like McGrath, is from the future. Things are revealed as the two converse for Protocol had lost some data and McGrath tells her all that’s transpired on how they got here in the past and why they left.
McGrath and Protocol are five years in the past and Protocol’s “construct” plus some of her memory data has been destroyed. Because of this, Protocol is unable to form into a solid biological kat and even has problems being acoherent and out of any device or what have you. It seems that an alien race called Latifrons ended up destroying the future. These same aliens created that static like being who had been after Stormcrow (who is for some reason immune to the being’s attack and what McGrath put to her forehead was the power her future self had gathered into a stone, this stone is to heighten her powers to her future self’s greater potential). The being was one of many advanced cyberdemons and is stuck back in time same as McGrath and Protocol are.
It seems Dark Kat gave the Latifrons information and they in turn gave him the means to eventually rule the planet, for them of course. The cyberkats , Enforcers, MBI and even finally the SWAT Kats failed in defending the planet and all were destroyed. So Protocol and McGrath as a last ditch effort joined forces and found a way via the alien’s technology to travel back into the past. However Protocol stayed behind and used her energy and her own self to explode and destroy the pursuing aliens and all that they had. McGrath managed to save 97% of her before he was sent into the past. Now he is trying to prepare everyone for the Latifrons’ future efforts for an attack which is why he got the anti-matter engine and anti-matter to the SWAT Kats, helped jumpstart the MBI earlier than his time, give Stormcrow ability to increase her powers and now activate what’s left of the future Protocol.
Read Log Sypher ends up loosing Matrix due to one of Matrix’s… er tricks. ;) He reports back to Dark Kat who is quite annoyed with this outcome. Dark Kat has Sypher check his systems and repair any leftover damage from when he was scattered earlier. After Sypher has recovered, Dark Kat decides to send him back to the MBI to see if his application has been approved yet as Dark Kat intends to send some other cyberdemons to fetch Matrix at a later date.
Sypher goes to the MBI and asks Hertz, who is manning the front desk at the time (and trying to learn French XD), if he’s been approved yet. Sypher’s application has only just been entered into the system but Hertz figures Sypher’s been approved and hired so sends the confused cyberdemon off to suit up and the like. Commander Forge appears during this scene and isn’t too thrilled with Hertz. Forge goes back and sees Josie and Fletch at their desks and is pleased to see these two standing at attention and responding like proper agents should. They tell him where to find Jason to get the information he’ll need to work there and Forge leaves them be.
McGrath takes up Protocol in that PDA and helps her to get into Dark Kat’s computer systems. There he has her send her past cyberdemon self orders to capture McGrath. The reason is that McGrath is going to get the future Protocol in the PDA a “body” so to speak and what better one than her own from the past? It works and Protocol returns to the PDA and waits with McGrath. Cyberdemon Protocol arrives and McGrath leads her on a chase throughout several city blocks from where he was found. They cause a lot of commotion as Protocol sends out various blasts and stops traffic. Someone makes a call to the MBI and so Fletch and Joe go to see what’s up. Before they arrive, cyberdemon Protocol is led back to the spot they started and falls into a trap of McGrath’s barely avoiding being blown up. As she repairs herself, McGrath uses a device that’s like a stick which knocks out the cyberdemon.
Fletch and Joe arrive to the building where there was a recent explosion moments before and they see strange electric blue flashes of light from the roof above. Both head upstairs in time to see McGrath carrying the KOed cyberdemon Protocol to the door. The agents and McGrath are at a stand off and they demand to know what he’s doing and to put the she-kat down. McGrath doesn’t comply but escapes by blasting a hole in the roof between himself and Fletch ‘n Joe, vanishing it seems. Confused and annoyed, Joe and Fletch leave the scene and head back to the MBI.
Read Log Agents Ryder, Tasha and Hans were on duty this Christmas Eve as well as Miz Stormcrow. A call came in that Santa was robbing a toystore and the four responded to the call. Turns out it was some robotic Santa and eight robotic reindeer who were causing the Christmas Chaos. The agents battled the bots (Stormcrow did the most damage with her fireballs) until Santa was left and soon he was taken out as well with minor injuries. The culprit was a kitten boy genius who was controlling the bots. He was angry at not getting some toys and such and was taken to Enforcer HQ. The agents went back to the MBI afterwards, hoping the kit’s parents give him a spanking for Christmas.
Read Log Fletch, Tasha and Hans go down to the docks at 2am to indeed find Fango and a few thugs unloading crates into a van. Fletch throws a smokebomb and the three Megs charge the scene, quickly taking down the thugs. Fango runs off and in an attempt to destroy the evidence, flings a molotov cocktail at the van, causing it to burst into flame along with the contents inside. Tasha and Fletch manage to pull out one of the large crates and get it away from the van. Hans goes after Fango and is able to arrest him after a slight chase. The fire dept. arrives after being called and puts out all the flames while the three Megs cart the thugs, Fango and the crate of ‘nip to the MBI.
Meanwhile, McGrath arrives on a rooftop to that building he’s been staying in from time to time with the unconscious cyberdemon Protocol. He’s been injured and is exhausted but manages to get the future Protocol out of his PDA and into her past self. The future Protocol merges with her past self, taking her over and putting her “will” or what have you aside. After some discussion, and McGrath refusing Protocol’s help to heal, Protocol pretending to be her former cyberdemon self goes back to Dark Kat’s lair in order to keep an eye on things should that alien cyberdemon thing decide to speak with Dark Kat. McGrath takes a most needed rest.
Read Log The thugs that were with Fango have all been interrogated though only one of them gave a name as to who they’re working for, someone named Enzo. Fletch and Tasha now go to speak with Fango who has his lawyer, a Mr. Howe, present. The two Megs manage to get something out of Fango, getting information on everything he knows (though Fango didn’t tell them everything ;D) in exchange for a plea bargain for easier time and protection. Little is learned of this Enzo, only that he’s a higher up in a mafia organization and the ‘nip shipment was to be distributed throughout Megakat City and a few other cities nearby as well (including Twilight and even Katskills). Once they get what they can, Fletch and Tasha return Fango to his cell where he waits bail then return to their duties while Joe keeps an eye on Fango and the thugs.
Commander Forge gets a call from a Dwayne Monde about needing assistance for security as his mother, the wealthy and famous jewler Diane Monde, is throwing a swanky black-tie New Year’s ball at Megakat Towers where her latest line will be displayed. Forge agrees to let a few agents go in undercover to mingle with the crowd and keep an eye on the jewelry at the booth and on those who are to be wearing/modeling them for the night. He sends Fletch, Tasha and Hans in and the three get fancied up for the party. All goes well though, save for poor Fletch who deals with a flirty and later tipsy Jenna (who also came to the party to purchase one of the necklaces on display). Tasha is even asked and “pursuaded” to wear one of the jewelery pieces, a necklace, to model for Dwayne, which makes her even more uncomfortable with her dressy self. Tasha and Hans share a New Year’s kiss, as does Fletch from a “bubbly” Jenna. XD Afterwards, Fletch sees Jenna to a cab to get her home and returns to Hans and Tasha to finish up their duties as the guests leave.
