2007 Afternoon Logs

Tasha and Hans go to visit Riley and Lawrence to check on how Riley’s doing after coming out of her coma. Josie and Dave pay Riley a visit as Josie needs to confirm that she no longer has those shadow abilities and asked Dave to come along since he’s already familiar with Riley and her abilities.

Later, Dave goes to visit Josie but ends up on the wrong floor in the NSA where he discovers this ‘Eva’ Josie and Riley were talking about. Eva manages to escape and things go downhill from there.

Mark takes Robi around on a tour of Megakat City. Josie and Dave are out to shop for regulation pens. Lawrence and Riley are out for a walk. All of these couples soon converge at the park and the tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Tessie arrives as well but things don’t get any better it seems despite her cheery attitude.

Mark, Joe and Hans are shooting pool at a local bar. Dave and Josie also arrive at said bar and confrontation ensues.

Trina goes grocery shopping where she runs into Josie as she leaves. Josie is polite but their conversation ends soon when some crazy thug robs the donut shop next door. Dave arrives on the scene and he and Trina move in to stop this guy as he takes a she-kat hostage.

Hard Drive causes the city to go haywire when he interrupts all means of communications and electricity. Steven Fenton, Ling Xiao and later Robi Darling are dispatched to find him. They make their way to the power plant and confront Hard Drive who doesn’t give up easily!

MBI Agents Riley and Lawrence return to work after the Eva incident and have fun causing a bit of mischief. After wondering where the other agents are that are usually on duty, Tasha fills them in on the Latvia incident. Later, Tasha and Riley go out for drinks to relax.

Meanwhile an angry Mark goes to speak with Josie on the matter to see if he can get anything out of her. The interview isn’t as fruitful as he hoped since he recorded it, but he takes the tape to Feral none the less for him to maybe find something to use against her and the NSA. Josie calls up Dave needing someone to talk to and both meet up at their usual pub and diner. Josie begins to confess a few things in regards to what was in the paper, but Tasha and Riley enter and once seeing Josie and Dave, take off.

Dave and Josie hurry off after them to talk and Tasha and Riley yell at Josie for her lies against what went on, mentioning all they know with Dark Kat and the rest. Josie denies it then Tasha says she’ll give Dave proof of the NSA involvement with Dark Kat and takes them to the MBI to show the transcript McGrath intercepted. Still disbelieving Tasha and Riley, saying it was forged, they all argue a bit more until Josie has her fill and exits, followed by Dave. Riley and Tasha go to Riley’s to watch some movies and relax while Dave and Josie go back to her place.

There, Josie ends up confessing to Dave, saying the MBI aren’t lying and tells some of what she knows. Shocked and hurt, Dave insists she tell the truth to the proper authorities as this isn’t right and isn’t following the right rules or protecting the country. Josie tells him the bind she’s in, that she doesn’t think it’s right what they’re doing to get Dark Kat’s favor, but that she’s in a bind as she could be fired or even worse killed for telling anyone what she knows. She asks Dave to stay with her but he needs to clear his head as he’s not sure he can trust Josie now with this despite her telling him everything and her involvement.

Ann Gora pulls up at the MBI with a heavy box to give to the agents from MBC studios. Full Force happens to be outside and offers to help Ann in as both are employees of MBC and all. They go inside and to the breakroom where Hans goes all fanboy with Full Force there but Tasha is not impressed. The box Ann has is filled with award plaques MBC has done up for appreciation of the MBI helping in a previous case (see evening logs) as well as tickets to various shows and promotions that MBC has. Jase is grateful as are the others and a deal between Full Force, Hans and Mark is worked out for a possible future promo for the MBI with the MWA.

An item on the black market has attracted both the MBI and NSA, though the MBI is less unsure of what the item is. Trina and Joe are in disguise to blend in with the villainous crowd when they spot Josie among them. She bids against them for the item they were after until she recognizes the two. The MBI ends up winning… the pricetag way above budget Mark had set for Joe and Trina. Josie follows them to the MBI and offers to help them on it so she can learn and possibly use it but Mark doesn’t agree to that.

Introduction of Tran

Mark and Hans decide to open up the item Joe and Trina got at that black market auction. Tessie arrives to visit and they ask her to help. It seems that it contained a strange being named Tran who was an experiment of Dr. Viper’s and has explicit instructions for care.

Protocol goes to Driver after getting a message from him. The two discuss what happened as well as their feelings on things. Protocol decides to do something that may help her get what she wants while she and Driver continue their relationship.

Josie pays the MBI a visit where she informs Mark about where his missing agents are before he goes accusing her of anything. During the discussion, Mark gets a call from his father saying that his mother’s health has made a turn for the worse and she may only have days to live. Mark tells Jase to take over and explains to Josie that his mother hasn’t been doing well lately, that she has an uncurable disease and lived her life with it but now it’s taken it’s toll. Josie, feeling guilty, offers to drive Mark over there as he is too shaken up for driving. Mark accepts and the two have a discussion about life and that you can’t save everyone.

Tessie comes by the Bureau to visit with Tran as the two have become good friends. Tansy hasn’t met Tran yet and so Tessie introduces them. The three decide to paint the hollowed eggshells Tran has saved up from his food source and discuss various things, getting to know one another better.

Tessie brings her ‘dad’ Dr. Greenbox to the MBI so he can meet Tran. Mark is there to help them along as Tessie knows that Tran is afraid of all doctors, despite the fact that Dr. Greenbox isn’t the same kind of doctor as Dr. Viper was.

Dave Santo and Tasha Forge are both dispatched to investigate a bank robbery by both their respective organizations. Bickering from the start, they both go in and find someone inside the bank’s vault. Jenna (or rather Vivid) is the perp but before the two can manage to even read her the Mirandas, she fires off a device that connects Tasha and Dave together by the wrist! Vivid gets away and the two law enforcement officers end up going to Enforcer HQ to try and have the thing removed. They’re told they need to wait a day while a diamond tipped part is ordered since it seems nothing else is working on it. Can these two bitter enemies deal with being stuck together for 24 hours without killing each other?

Mark, Dave and Josie end up stuck in an elevator together… that is until Mark goes John McClane and tries to escape the madness.

While the log ends where it does, it’s safe to assume the three got out okay. ;)

Josie tries to get Dave and Mark to be civil. Joe has an extra special smoothie Tansy made him and decides to go “play” with her and Tran around MBI HQ.

Joe explains to Tansy and Tran that putting alcohol in the drinks or using it at all at the MBI is not good. He then tries to explain the rules to various games but Tansy and Tran have their own way of playing so Joe gives up and lets them alone.

Full Force wrestles Hans in the ring for a MBI promotional type of deal. Tasha is at ringside helping Hans (and hoping he doesn’t get put in traction XD).
