Sulfur, Mark

Appearance

Is a thin built yet muscular tom. Has light orange fur with dark brown over his left eye and forehead and on his hands and tip of his tail. Red hair falls just a bit above his shoulders. Other patches are found on his shoulders and back.

Characteristics

Mark is a complete perfectionist. While not being entirely obsessive compulsive, he likes to keep things organized and up to date, which one can tell by just looking at his office. He believes in giving people second chances (reason why he hasn’t fired anyone yet), so he can be incredibly forgiving, almost to a fault. He tries not to pick sides and tries to listen to both sides before giving his opinion, which really has only gotten him into more trouble.

Has a knack for kickboxing and shooting.

History

He was born the son of a naval officer from New Kat and a MegaKat University mathematics instructor from the Scottish Highlands. Throughout his years as a kitten, he idolized his father for what he did, mostly through war stories and his trips around the globe.

His father never saw his young son as somebody who’d become an officer in the line of duty, expecting him to follow in his mother’s footsteps and become an instructor or even a business kat. Once he was of age, Mark proved his father wrong by enlisting in the Enforcer Academy.

While serving as an Enforcer, he managed to show his abilities when it came to leading kats en masse’. When the city decided to test its newest law enforcement agency, he was asked if he was interested in participating. He jumped on the wagon as soon as the Megakat Bureau of Investigation was ready to start recruiting.

He saw his agents as family, and did what he could to establish himself more as a friend to them than a superior. He found to be incredibly overprotective of all of them, taking it upon himself to follow them on missions when said missions were reserved for his captains.

There wasn’t a time when his leadership skills would be questioned, both by the city and the Enforcers. He was put under a lot of scrutiny and he found himself fighting to prove that his organization was as useful as the Enforcers and even the SWAT Kats when it came to city protection.

While people said otherwise, Mark felt he wasn’t good enough, especially when it came to facing organizations willing to lock down the MBI, such as the NSA. The latest bout with the NSA where he and Commander Feral were arrested based on false evidence of corruption nearly drove him to the point of resignation, even when he was found innocent.

Mark wasn’t the type to hold a grudge after all that, but he reserved a special spot for Jack Spinner, who he still believed to be alive.

Current Whereabouts

Is still serving as MBI director, doing his hardest to make sure things are running smoothly, despite the differences between his agents.There isn’t a time he doesn’t consider offering the position to someone else, but each day he finds a new reason to stay.
