Tygrus, Brent
In Agents
Usually connected with the words “quiet” and “reflective” since he was young, Brent is accustomed to taking a direct approach to whatever was expected of him, with as little questioning as to “why” as possible. If he knows a task is within his ability to accomplish, he will take the job without complaint and will refuse to deviate from his task until it has been completed to his approval. This grew into his professional front, the one that appears most often in the bureau. Intuitive and to-the-point, Brent doesn’t waste time with unimportant details.
Name: Brent F. TygrusCodename: Blitz
Rank: Field Agent (Specialist)
Age: 26
Height: 6′ 3″
Tygrus carries his personal Beretta 92.
Physical Appearance:
Brent Tygrus is a short-haired tabby, having tan fur and dark brown stripes spread down his arms and legs with two inches between each stripe. His hair, the same dark brown as the stripes along his arms and legs, has been shaped into a short, manageable military cut. Brent’s eyes are a genuine grey and are accented by slight shadows around his bottom eyelids, emphasizing on the lack of sleep he endures due to insomnia.
Due to his service with the Enforcers, Brent has been able to maintain a lean muscular build. That, accompanied with his clean-cut appearance and clothing choice, his typical image comes across as both professional and organized. His daily recreational wear consists of button-down shirts, khaki slacks, and brown leather loafers. For formal occasions, he is seen to be dressed in a black, three-piece suit with black leather loafers. While on the job, he is in uniform, the usual suit, vest and boot combination, trim and pressed with only minor deviations from the standard code. The patch from his prior uniform, that of his Enforcer unit, has been sewn onto the left shoulder of his MBI uniform and Enforcer dog-tags can be seen around his neck. He persists in holding on to both of these symbols due to some long-held respect and loyalty towards his own specific unit.
Personality Traits:
Usually connected with the words “quiet” and “reflective” since he was young, Brent is accustomed to taking a direct approach to whatever was expected of him, with as little questioning as to “why” as possible. If he knows a task is within his ability to accomplish, he will take the job without complaint and will refuse to deviate from his task until it has been completed to his approval. This grew into his professional front, the one that appears most often in the bureau. Intuitive and to-the-point, Brent doesn’t waste time with unimportant details.
However, this does not carry over well into his personal life. Despite his finicky nature about his work, he can’t seem to grasp the concept of orderliness when it comes to his own living space.
He isn’t disposed to talk very much with other people unless the conversation is oriented towards work. Beyond the answering of rudimentary questions and base salutations, it is very lucky for someone to even get the most basic of remarks out of him. Though, every now and again, he tends to show that he can at least try to be personable.
Abilities:
With a background of extensive training in hand-to-hand combat and tactical/situational planning, Brent was seen as a prospective captain or lieutenant by those around him in the Enforcers. The hyperactivity of his brain allows for a constant reassessment of given situations while giving him the ability to make almost immediate changes to his original plan to factor in the new variables. His experience with martial arts extends from kick-boxing to jujitsu, molding into a flexible form that borrows techniques of three or four different styles.
He has moderate levels of training in fire-arms and technological weaponry. He wouldn’t know where to begin to tell someone of the general make-up of a weapon beyond a basic rifle, but if it is a weapon, it won’t take him very long to figure out how to use it.
Past History:
The only child in his family, Brent was born to Dr. Fell Tygrus, a biologist specializing in viral and genetic diseases, and Serra Tygrus, a novelist with minor success and acclaim. The marriage between his parents lasted only briefly after his birth, his mother allowing custody of Brent to fall to his father due to a lack of financial security given her career. Brent grew in a fairly high-class living situation, not really ever having to want for anything. The relationship between Brent and his father was a positive one, with Dr. Tygrus acting as a strict yet reliable facet of his son’s life.
It soon became clear that the boy was gifted intellectually and physically, expressing an uncanny ability to comprehend information and apply it to the world around him. Unsatisfied with basic education, his life was a blur of lessons and studies, which his father was more than happy to fund. The boy became adept in athletics and excelled in the field of academics in such a way that left his tutors astounded, taking his assignments and refusing to rest until they were completed to his own satisfaction. Though, it did become painfully clear that Brent lacked any and all talent in the fields of art or creative expression. One particular experience with a violin left such a lasting impression on the boy that he refused to touch the instrument again.
Outside of his studies, Brent was unable to socialize well. Too thought driven and work oriented, he managed to distance himself in such a way that others merely began to regard him as the “prodigy”. It suited Brent well enough, though it damaged his ability to converse in a comfortable manner with others. His few attempts at seeking companionship were awkward and clumsy, ending for the most part in failure.
Starting around the age of twelve, Brent began to experience a heightened activity of the nerve receptors in his brain. This, accompanied with his analytical skills and constantly shifting thought processes, took a toll on his sleep patterns, as he could never stop thinking long enough to actually nod off. Physicians attempted to remedy this with sleep-aids, but Brent disliked how they affected his physical and mental performance during his assignments. He eventually gave in and accepted the lack of sleep as a part of his lifestyle.
He excelled in his schooling, given his tendency to work over and beyond the requirements of his given assignments. Upon finishing his secondary education, Brent enlisted at the Enforcer Academy, where his work ethic and drive shone the brightest. Having graduated with the highest marks of his class, he was looked upon as the most promising candidate for his year. Quickly drafted into Enforcer Unit 1265, he was able to devote himself wholly to the defense of the city, using his abilities to the benefit of his squad. The years passed, and Brent grew comfortable in his position in Unit 1265. He finally became close friends with the other officers that he worked with on a consistent basis, forming attachments that he lacked in childhood. Brent endured all the troubles and joys that friendships bring, and became a better person for it. Though, his conversational skills are still far from top-notch.
It’s no surprise that, during a recent personnel reassessment, Brent was shocked to find himself being transferred to MBI.
Current Whereabouts:
In Megakat City, working in the Bureau. Brent has only just been accepted into the bureau, and is waiting for his first assignment as a Field Agent. He hasn’t made any personal advances towards friendship with any other officers.
