Physical Description/Characteristics

A lean, short light grey tom with dark green eyes and a red mullet who is almost always too serious for his own good. His seriousness is reflexed in his style, with his boots shined to a mirror shine and uniform always clean and firmly pressed. When he is off duty, that style carries on through as he wears long sleeved shirts in pale colours and dark pants.

His striking red mullet was the result of a drunken weekend away with his fellow academy recruits, however when Dave eventually saw it, it seemed to strike a cord with him and it stuck.

His gold tooth (right canine) is very important to him. Its gold comes the wedding ring of his dead father which was left to him and his two brothers. Rather than fight about who should keep the ring, the three decided that it was to be separated in to thirds and each son of Basil Santo was to have a gold tooth made so their father would always be with them.

Having the family history and two older brothers in the force, Dave has always had to be a perfectionist. Making sure everything goes to plan and to schedule like his father taught him so he can get very down hearted when things don’t follow the plan. Having such a strict upbringing meant that Dave never mixed well with the other free spirited kids at school and that is true to this day, Dave is all work unless he gets a release through drinking.

Abilities

Dave is very often pushed to succeed by his ancestors’ accomplishments.  There are no if’s, and’s or but’s, a Santo can not rest till he or she’s got his/her man. It is this drive which makes him so good at his job. He also has a very good gut instinct.

Having taken up archery at just age 5, Dave has gotten extremely good at it and has quite the aim now with most other ballistic weapons, although given the choice he’d choose a combat bow over his side arm any day of the week. The years of the bow has also givev Dave quite a bit of upper body strength.  His relatively small size also makes him very good at getting to places other officers can’t reach.

Past History

Born to the Santo family, Dave’s life was predefined for him. The last eight generations of his family and both of his older brothers were great military men or Enforcers, his father even solved the “Golden Gate Bridge” job. Raised in that environment, young Dave was force-fed the Enforcer way of life since birth.

Always seen as the weakest of his brothers, his father always made Dave work harder to match and surpass all the others. All throughout school he was always overshadowed by what his brothers had accomplished in the years past. Even if it was his best, it wasn’t good enough for his dad. Dave was punished often for his failures.

As a child he was taught all about focus, his father enrolled him in many activities to promote this, one of those things was archery. While Dave gave up most of the activities once his father passed away, he stuck to the bow as the second the arrow was in the air, all that mattered was the silent flight, the rest of the world stopped.

After enrolling in the Enforcers, it was quite clear that everyone in his hometown of New Orleans would never stop comparing him to his family.  Dave wanted out of their shadows so he put in for a transfer to good old Megakat city. Although the family name is still known in Megakat, no Santo had ever worked there before so it was the closest to a clean slate Dave was likely to get.

Present History

Only recently moved to his one room appartment in Megakat’s docklands, Dave is still finding his feet in the city and just trying to do his job.
