Duncon, Cole

Physical Description

Semi-muscular build. Wears dark colored clothes that match his dark fur. He’s usually seen wearing leather wristbands, collars, boots, and other gothic/punk goodies. Smiles often, despite his gloomy exterior.

His fur color is dark gray and his hair and tail are black… sometimes he streaks his hair with blue or red dye. His eyes are ice blue, but turn red when angered or performing on stage. If he opens his mouth wide enough you may see a pair of fangs.

Characteristics

Cole is a night owl… and he’s that way for different reasons. He is a member of a so-called “Vampire band” That performs at a few nightclubs in the city. He sings sometimes, but his main role in the band is the electric guitar player.

Often he comes off being strange or anti-social, but he is most of the time friendly when spoken to. Though when spoken to rudely, he will be snarky and rude in return. He’s always interested in other people and rarely speaks of himself or his past.

Abilities

Increased natural agility. His body can regenerate itself… so it takes a bit to keep him down. Night vision.

Relationships

A younger sister, mother and father. Also the members of the band.

Past History

Cole was born in a small town. His childhood was like any other kid’s. A great mom and a providing dad. His sister the normal little brat that got into his things. When he was 16, things started to go weird. By Cole’s Senior year of High School, his body began to change. It started with his stomach… whenever he ate food, a few hours later he’d get ill and end up vomiting. No matter what he ate, he couldn’t keep it down. He became weak and tired, the sun began to burn his eyes.

His parents took him to different doctors to try and figure out the
problem, but nobody could help him. Then his parents finally contacted a government facility. Cole was reluctant to even go to these scientist and was very shocked to find something out about his parent’s past. His mother and father met while participating in a new experimental drug project. Them being young adults, needed the money that the scientist were offering, and excited to help with such experimental testing. His parents were never affected by the drug and the scientist thought it was a flop, but they were now afraid that somehow the experimental drug was passed into Cole during pregnancy.

The scientist started to study on Cole. Daily, new complications started to show. His eyes slowly changed from a light blue to a crimson red… His pupils would dialate uncontrollably… Daylight and even artificial light was unbearable for him, until he managed to control his vision. His canine teeth began to grow longer, which made it difficult to eat. He then realized when biting his tongue, blood was what helped his hunger. The scientist would feed him rare cooked meat, until he demanded only blood.

The scientist kept Cole for almost a year… did a number of intense, horrific tests on him. His family visited him regularly, but eventually Cole refused to see them. He was angry at them for leaving him there… also he didn’t want his sister to see how he had changed. One night he’d decided to make a break for it. With his new night vision, he slipped out of the facility. While climbing over the barbed wire fence, he’d cut his hands and by morning he was amazed that the wounds had healed. He ran to MegaKat City. Far away from his home and family.

Present History

Twenty years have past since he’d become what his is… he calls himself a vampire. He doesn’t have any other explanation for what he is, other than a government mistake. He’s only found one other like him, her name is Christian… Him and her are members of a band with a couple other mortals. His appearance hasn’t changed over the the last 20 years… He hasn’t seen his parents since he left, though he has talked to them. So far his sister hasn’t had any affects from the test drug. And he keeps his secret from everyone, letting them believe that he is some sort of vampire goth. To date, Cole has never been found by the scientist that held him captive. Nor has he searched to find out more about the drug his parents were given.

Things about Cole’s so-called Vampirism:
Living: Cole avoids the sunlight, though he could be out in the sun as long as he wears sunglasses to protect his eyes. But the sun can be draining and make him feel extremely sleepy.

Eating: He can’t eat regular food. It won’t digest for him. Blood is his only source of nutrition. The blood he gets is from the blood bank. Not really sure how he gets it. The idea that a human that works there, may know him and gives it to him. This puts a damper on social events… especially when the party begins to take notice.

Injuries: When shot, bullets can hurt him if not removed. If he gets cut or gashed, it takes time to heal. It will slow him down. His body regeneration is like the X-Men Wolverine, but not as fast. Stabbing anything through the heart or decapitation would probably kill him.

His body does not age. The way his cells regenerate, keep him young. His body is always repairing itself.
