An art history professor by trade, Dana is an intelligent and sweet-natured woman but doesn’t have much of a backbone. Romance has not been kind to her: her high school sweetheart, Geoffrey Merle, left her pregnant with Stormcrow when she was 19, and her second husband, Keith Thomason, turned out to be controlling and abusive. Stormcrow, Bexa, and Wanda Forge managed to get her away from him, and she moved to Megakat City to make a fresh start.
Although she tries to be supportive, Dana is uncomfortable with both Stormcrow’s powers and her work at the MBI. One day, she fears, her daughter’s luck is sure to run out. She also worries that her second daughter, Sethunya, might one day develop the same powers. If only she knew . . .
