Physical description and characteristics:

Josie is a light brown furred she-kat and has milk chocolate brown colored hair which is a few shades darker than her fur. She keeps her hair cut short, and her long bangs pulled to the side. Her eyes are a medium shade of green. Josie’s ears are a bit more rounded and her tail resembles more of a lion’s tail, with the tuft of hair at the end the same shade as her hair.

While at work, Josie will wear a dark colored skirt suit and tie. Neat and trim she keeps herself always when relaxing or dressed casual, she will wear nice skirts and blouses as well as boots or high heels. At home she wears more comfortable clothing.

Josie is pretty athletic, but is more agile than strong. Though she is intelligent, she has problems with anything on the “technical” side. Computers or other complicated machinery escape her, and have caused her problems though she is getting better at computer usage. She doesn’t know how to pilot a jet or tank or anything of that sort because of this. She’s a by-the-book type of girl, having always followed orders from her superiors.

Josie is a fast runner as she keeps in shape and jogs every morning. She is agile and quick but her strength is only average. Josie can become impatient during a major crisis and becomes fearful when things turn to the unusual and paranormal as she has a fear of the supernatural.

Ex girlfriend of Mark Sulfur. Recently broke things off with Dave Santo.

Past History

Josie was born and raised in downtown Megakat City. The neighborhood she grew up in was more or less quiet, well until the recent threats of super villains and the like began to become more frequent. She always has been interested in law enforcement, and after graduating high school, she enlisted with the Enforcers to train in their Academy. She passed her training and was even one of the top ten in her class. Things were going well for her until she was assigned to operate a Peacekeeper tank during a mission. She wasn’t very good at this sort of thing, and panicked, which eventually resulted in a misfiring. Instead of hitting the proper target, she accidentally blasted Lt. Commander Steele’s sedan. Fortunately he wasn’t in it at the time, but needless to say, he was not pleased. She was humiliated and dismissed from the Enforcers, but due to her previous outstanding record, she was advised to apply at the Megakat Bureau of Investigation if she wished to continue a career in law enforcement.

Tired of not being heard and having her ideas dismissed when her fellow agents broke proper procedure or did not perform to her standards, Josie looked elsewhere to serve in law enforcement. Tasha Forge and her brother along with a few other agents angered her and a spat during a time in the future was the last straw. She felt unwanted at the MBI and wanted to do something “better” where wouldn’t be surrounded by “reckless agents” (Tasha), “unstable criminals” (McGrath) and support agents who she thinks shouldn’t be a part of the MBI because of past events or troubles (Joe and Stormcrow).

Seeing that the NSA seem to be a powerful group of kats who have connections and are involved with many things, she went to speak with Jack Spinner. Tired of several agents and remembering a conversation he and she had concerning McGrath being just the same as Spinner, Josie figured Spinner was the best tom to help her be rid of McGrath as well as other agents there. He showed her a file from the Bureau with a few nasty complaints and noted how she felt unwanted and offered her the possibility of becoming a Lt. Commander with Megakat Springs Enforcers branch. In exchange for Spinner clearing her past record with the Enforcers and helping her get that position, Josie worked for the NSA as a double agent within the MBI.

Eventually Josie was found out of being a double agent for the NSA after she confessed to Mark about how she killed McGrath. After a confrontation with Spinner, Josie was confronted with a choice when Mark and Spinner were in a standoff – either kill Mark or Spinner. Josie chose Spinner, but in doing so she thought she ruined her chances for her dismissal erased and any hope of moving up. Upset with Mark as well, she handed in her badge and left the MBI for good.

A few days later, Deputy Mayor Briggs contacted Josie and informed her that she had been chosen to replace Spinner as the Director of Operations at the NSA due to her “heroics” in uncovering and stopping Spinner in his many conspiracies. Since then, Josie took her role seriously and while she tried to work with the MBI on good status, she still didn’t care for the way the organization is ran (or some of the agents working there) and did what she felt needed to be done whether they approved or not.

Though her beginnings as NSA Director were a bit overwhelming, Josie picked the position up well and had been making some effort for the positive in the organization. Putting past altercations aside, Josie made a deal with McGrath allowing him to work for the NSA while he works in the MBI as a means of keeping a balance with the two organizations having McGrath often as the go between.

Her long aspired ascent into a position of power within law enforcement was not to last. Through an old project she wasn’t made aware of, Jack Spinner had returned from the dead, using the body of McGrath as a host. He had taken control of half the NSA and set forth a plan that gained Renegade power over the citizens. This plan failed, Spinner was stopped once again and McGrath returned to normal. However, Josie lost control over the NSA as the organization was disbanded by the government and later faced charges of her involvement with the city wide destructing as a result of Spinner’s actions.

For a time Josie fled. Kept herself hidden away until she was kidnapped by Dark Kat who intended on destroying her for revenge of her nearly killing him and ruining several plans. She asked for him to spare her life, saying that she would serve him in his latest quest for domination. He agreed with her request but insured she would not betray him by injecting nanobots programmed to explode should she disobey. Now she had no choice in the matter and did what he said. His plans failed however and Josie requested the help of the MBI as they had offered before to be rid of the nanobots. Later she tried to find Dark Kat again and kill him once and for all but failed in that as it was just a robot copy of him.

With still having nothing, unsure of where to go, Josie sat at her home doing nothing for a period of time until she was visited by demoness Swytch. She had heard about Josie from BOB the DESTRUCTOR and offered her a deal – her soul for a real position of power as governor of the state. Angry, desperate and feeling that she truly is an ‘evil’ kat, Josie agreed to the deal. She signed the contract (after reading it through) and is now on her way to becoming governor. All her past reports and black marks on her record have been erased to ensure she is a legitimate candidate.

Dave Santo soon after informed her that he and his partner Ling Xiao were to go to Kat Vegas for a time for an undercover mission. Feeling that she was putting him and his career in jeopardy and not wishing to keep anything else secret from him, Josie ended their relationship, stating that perhaps when both of them were high enough up in office that they can try again, but for now she was nothing but trouble for him. Heartbroken but still hopeful, Dave accepted this. Only on her own Josie feels can she truly rise to the top and gain the respect she feels she deserves.

Where character is concurrently

Josie is heavy into the governatorial race for the state of Katifornia. Winning the election for her is guaranteed unknown to anyone else via contract she’s made with Swytch. Once elected, she’ll turn her focus to the law enforcement… particularly in Megakat City.
