McNamara, Mavenous

Physical Description/Characteristics

Dark gray fur, almost black fur with long med. Gray hair. Commonly worn in a braid, length is mid to lower back. Pale steel gray eyes. Long scar going down his spine. Several scattered gun shot scars on his shoulders. The tip of his tail is dipped in black. He has one wing tattooed on his back (the left side) that is difficult to see without the aid of UV light. Commonly wears ripped up jeans with large holes in the knees, heavy boots and either tee shirts with random prints on the front or thermals he has ‘modified’ with safety pins and patches. Typically around his neck he has a black cord looped twice with a very small cross at the center. Along the inside of his right wrist he has ‘Carrie’ tattooed in small Edwardian script.

Maven is more of the type who remains quiet until he feels it’s needed for him to speak. This is mostly because he has little to no compassion deal with the ’petty bickering of the peons’. He is rather intelligent and rather savvy but he rarely lets this part of himself show that much.

Abilities

Maven’s boredom as a kitten helped him become interested in various activities. Some pushed onto him by his parents to ‘make up’ for his lack being vocal. For several years he took classes in various forms of Dance. His most favorite being the improv ‘Street dancing’ and ‘bust a move’. To be more flexible he had joined gymnastics club and soon found himself turning into a Contornist. This has proven to amuse him even in his older years. He is also able to get into more confined places without much of a fuss. He has rather impressive physical strength but relays more on his avoidance of a fight. But is able to hold his own when needed.

Special Relationships

One previous relationship with a she kat named ‘Carrie’. Currently he has gotten into a long engagement to Felony Kat. He has a son in his teens named Edric by Carrie. He has only recently discovered Edric’s existance in the last several weeks.

Past History

Maven was born and raised in the back ‘woods’ of the New Mexico desert. Specifically White Sands, New Mexico. His parents were rather taken by surprise when his mother had gone to the hospital for back pain and ended up with a tom kitten. Maven was rather quiet as a kitten on top of being crafty and intelligent. His teachers worried his lack of speaking up in class or talking to his classmates was a sign of something wrong with the boy. Several months (and a lot of money) later the reason was discovered why Maven didn’t speak: He just didn’t feel the urge to do so. This kept on until his teen years, he began to speak more frequently but not to the level a normal kat would.

When he turned eighteen Maven signed up to join the military, much to the discontent of his parents. He served in the military up until he was 26. He was medically discharged after he was involved in a ‘incident’ that is still qualified as top secret. The injury he received caused him needing a metallic ‘stabilizer’ to be put along his spine. This doesn’t hinder his ability to move or do his old ‘contornist’ moves, although it doesn’t allow him to do everything he was once able to do.

Present History

Maven is currently working as a bouncer for hire in several of the nightclubs in downtown MKC. His past time included collecting antique fire arms and building model cars. He lives in a loft apartment above a pawn shop. His previous contact with Felony has proven to heighten his job status. Now seen as her ‘top kat’ he does whatever she asks. He doesn’t give a reason for his actions or what his motives are. Above all Maven still does things for his own personal gain, spite whatever it does to those he abuses to get what he wants.
