A typical MP5 fires 9 x 19 mm Parabellum ammunition from a curved, detachable box-type magazine. The MP5′s accuracy, reliability, and wide range of accessories and variations have made it the submachine gun of choice for military and law enforcement agencies worldwide.
For SWAT team scenarios, the MP5 is the MBI’s weapon of choice. It is highly effective in close quarters and its fully automatic rate of fire makes it a capable weapon against average suspects. A smaller, pistol-sized variant, called the MP5K is also used.
Agents require administrative authorization for the use of an MP5. Several MP5s were used during an infiltration into a heavily guarded desert aircraft hangar belonging to Dark Kat.
