After visiting several correctional facilities and spending a week in Twilight City, I managed to speak with a number of Joseph Forge’s former acquaintances. Most knew of the incident in question, but few had verifiable testimony.
After speaking with Twilight City Enforcer Commander Forge I realized his bias may have prevented him from conducting an actual investigation into the matter, instead treating it as some type of clerical error. This forced me to conduct my own investigation into the missing persons report, as they are the key towards proving the factuality of everything.
I questioned several locals, spoke with members of Forge’s former gang, and faked my own death during a street fight with said gang to determine the destination of corpses that met illegitimate ends. That destination is the bottom of a nearby lake with one’s feet tied to a cinder block. While there, I searched the surrounding lake bed, and found the remains of the victims, one of which still having their wallet and ID.
Commander Forge is presently collecting evidence at the scene with a dive team. After my unexpected swim, I returned to the gang and had a private conversation with the leader. He provided valid testimony about the event, mainly the following facts:
1. Dillinger ordered the killings.
2. The victims were extorting from Dillinger.
3. Dillinger contracted a special assassin.
4. The assassin was a woman, a telekinetic, and exhibited an interest in a macabre clothing style.
Upon returning to Megakat City I referenced the NSA’s assassin database and found a potential match: an Elizabeth Cunningham. No further data is available, as the Enforcers are unaware of her existence. I’ve attached the physical description and last known location data from the entry. It may be enough to start from.
Once the suspect is found, it will be possible to link her to the crime as all telekinetics have a unique energy signature that can be analyzed from whatever they choose to affect. There are substantial remains left from the victims to perform a cross-analysis once she is found.
Conclusion:
Joseph Forge was involved in the incident in some capacity; however, due to conflicting witness testimony and the implication of a new suspect, there are no new legal charges that can be filed against him at this time. Unless Joseph Forge confesses to foul play in some kind of verifiable manner, his guilt cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt. The district attorney will not prosecute, and as such, Joseph Forge’s fugitive status has been revoked.
