Shangri-Klaw

Shangri-Klaw was an ancient city of gold populated by Yeti-like snow creatures atop an isolated snow-covered mountain in the remote jungles of Bogato. It was a great magical center, renowned for its healing powers, but at some point became contaminated with evil, turning the Snow Creatures against the rest of the world. Ancient shamans managed to contain the evil, and the city withered away into ruins. After several thousand years, the city was mostly forgotten about until recently, when a dying Swytch went there and used the ruins to restore herself.

This inadvertently broke the ancient shamans spells, and released the evil once more, allowing guerilla leader Fernando Montega to take control of the Snow Creatures and use them in his personal (and failed) quest for power. Shangri-Klaw is now restored to its ancient luster, with the local populace using it to support its economy as a tourist destination.
