Summary
Mr. Young is the owner of a foreign corporation with interests in expanding his business into Megakat City. Precisely what it is his company does is unknown. He is accompanied at all times by a pair of silent assistants. Twice Mayor Manx has attempted to persuade Young to house his corporate headquarters in the Megakat Tower. The first time, Dr. Viper seized control of the building with his army of plantimals, and in the subsequent conflict with the SWAT Kats and the Enforcers, the building was almost completely destroyed. Although Young had expressed interest in Manx’s offer (due in large part to the building’s proximity to Megakat Golf Course), he decided against it after this incident. Later, after the Megakat Tower was rebuilt and reopened, Young was tempted a second time and flew to Megakat City and was picked up by Mayor Manx personally. However the Tower became the nest for an alien Ci-Kat-A queen, and a visit to it only resulted in Young and Manx being splattered with bug guts, and Manx dejectedly returned an angry Young to the airport on the spot.
Young subsequently turned his attention to developing Anakata Island into an industrial park (with a golf course), with Manx as his business partner. Here, Young displayed some sympathy for the islanders’ culture, especially regarding their sacred Talisman Stone. Even though he was able to persuade Manx to preserve and carefully move the Stone, it was plowed into and shattered by a careless bulldozer operator. Freed from his volcano prison by the Stone’s destruction, the fire demon Volcanus ran amok on the island. Young and his assistants escaped to Megakat City with Manx by speedboat, and Volcanus followed them to the mainland. After Volcanus was destroyed by the SWAT Kats, Young decided that instead of turning the island into an industrial park, a real park would be much better. Plus he and Manx wound up getting 20% of every piece of Volcanus-themed merchandise sold to the tourists.
Mr. Young was voiced by Robert Ito in Destructive Nature and Volcanus Erupts!; his role in The Ci-Kat-A was a nonspeaking one.
