Season One

SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron

Season One

With the exception of 4 episodes, animation for SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron’s first season was done by Hanho Heung-Up, an animation studio based in Seoul, South Korea, that had worked on shows such as The Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Christian Tremblay, co-creator of SWAT Kats, has publicly stated his disappointment with the quality of Hanho Heung-Up.

Despite Season One’s animation issues, it features some of SWAT Kats most memorable and important stories and characters, and is considered by some to overall have stronger writing than Season Two. Season One aired in Fall 1993 for 13 total episodes.
